Default 2000 v 70 power outage on dashboard,air,heat,radio

Power went out on all those things at once. Seemed to coincide with the panel under the steering wheel falling off but don’t know what happened. No idea what the fix is. Any insight would be much appreciated

if you comment again on the thread you already started yesterday it will come to the top of the list again and be in bold for everyone to see, you don't need to start another thread on the same issue..

when you say the cover under the steering wheel do you mean the cover directly underneath that protects the ignition barrel etc, or the one further down by your feet with the little light on it

because the one lower down has some sensitive stuff above it such as the CEM (?) i think or something like that with lots of fuses and relays and so on. could be a loose connection ?

interesting to know why the cover was off and what was being done to it which might have some relation to the problem, they dont tend to just fall off unless they've been on and off a lot and perhaps incorrectly refitted

The larger one that above my feet came off. I bought it banged up and it was already falling off. It definitely feels like a connection issue cause a couple times I kicked it up and all the power came back on. That no longer does anything but wondering what to look for to reconnect if I pull the cover off completely

I'm no expert but it sounds to me like something was loose and while kicking it seems to have worked once or twice, that connection has now completely disconnected.. I couldn't tell you what to look for other than take that cover off, look up there with a torch and see if you can spot any plugs that are just hanging freely? Or anything that looks untoward..

Or failing that take a series of pictures or a video that looks everywhere, perhaps someone here can spot something for you

Or maybe someone else already has pictures they can annotate and put some pointers on for you
