Clicky

A job I've yet to do. I made the pulley last autumn but my 1/2" socket set wouldn't fit. I've just invested in a 1/4" set and need to sort out before it gets much warmer. Though can't be worse than driving through Italy in 40 degrees

When the Saab compressor clutch was knacked, for reasons I never really understood, the aircon didn't just fail to blow cold, it actually blew luke warm air constantly.

That may just have been a quirk of Saab's climate control, but it rendered that car almost useless, even in a UK summer. I've no idea whether it would also apply to Volvos, but I intend to keep an eye on my S60 to make sure it's aircon is in good condition.

Default Air Con Compressor

If it is a clutch gap problem, this can be adjusted 'for nothing' without disconnecting any air con hoses. See symptoms and instructions in various posts on this forum. A bit fiddly but well worthwhile.

Hi
How did you get on and how do you rate the service at this garage?

I have a similar problem with my climate control/ ac on my mk1 v70. Worked fine until yesterday. Now i have 2 lights flashing on the air recirculation button and ac off button and now no fans or anything.

Anyway i live in brum and need to get it sorted so thought i'd ask.

Thanks

They are ok and sorted out some other stuff fast and good price. But the aircon they just didn't want to know when I rang up to complain! £50 straight down the drain so not happy. Problem is, they a bit far away to take it back and moan so based on that and their attitude I can't reccomend.
