Hi Guys, am having a little problem with these LED bulbs on my Volvo S40 54 Plate, new shape, I've order some few weeks ago and the next day or so i notice one of the LED bulbs on the left was very faint, driving home i took the LED out, notice it smelled of burning, the other seemed ok but hot and one of the 2 LEDS one had blown. Than after reading these post, i order some more from CrazyLeds's last week and arrived on Saturday, i installed them and there were fine, i drove around for an hour and notice the same thing, one on the left as very faint, there are 3 LED's on them. Am I ordering the wrong sort. I've order them on the link on this post. i would like the LED's it makes the car look rather cool.
Your advice would be nice. Cheers |

Interesting facts about bulbs...
The number plate lighting circuit is part of the CEM network. CEM checks for voltage drops etc and if detected, will report an error on the computer. There is mention of controlling/limiting the voltage in error conditions. I cherry picked info from here: https://docs.google.com/fileview?id=...thkey=CI_Z99sD Now that we know the number plate bulbs are voltage checked, canbus style LED's it has to be. How about these for size! https://docs.google.com/leaf?id=0Byv...thkey=CNOL0rkP |

You like your SMD chips JB!
They will be exceprtionally bright methinks. I always buy a spare set as theres nothing worse then a bulb failing and having a light out for days and days whilst the new one (if you can get hold of it) arrives. |
