Spotted 240s - Page 11

On Wednesday there was the spit of my red '93 240SE estate on the Woodford Green High Road roundabout.

The driver of the E plate GL even waved! Nice. I happily waved back as I've also seen a blue J reg estate in the Buckhurst Hill area a couple of times. Driver never waves but he's and old chap and seems to be in deep thought at all times....

I nipped out to the bank yesterday, and as I pulled into the high street of our bustling nearest town.....

Woohoo! Got one!
240 D6. The lady owner clearly thought me a bit odd as I looked around it lol.

Being very cheeky and possibly somewhat optiomistic, Tatton Park this coming weekend should have at least two - SFSS inthe visitors park, and another on the Club Stand.

A reg light green estate in a layby with its bonnet up and hazards on at the side of the A338 Bournemouth Spur road yesterday evening.

Silver ( I think ) 240 estate spotted on St Helens Road ( A 572 ) heading out of Leigh towards the bypass today at about 13:00 hrs.
It was near the Pennington Flash junction.

I only spotted it at the last moment and waved but a bit late to be seen I think.
I usually spot the DRL's in good time and wonder whether they weren't illuminated on the estate.
I think it had Tors stripes on the bottom half too but didn't catch the year.

Last week my son and his wife were over from America and we were out in old blue, which she really likes - including the 'mafia trunk' as she calls it. Having told her that there are not many 240's around we visited Tutbury in Staffordshire and parked up on the main street. As we got out she noticed that right next to us was a 240 estate and then I noticed a 240 saloon on the opposite side of the road. Maybe they have started a breeding programme down our way. Wish I had my camera....

I spotted around a hundred 240s at the IPD Garage Sale last week...

And another hundred just driving around the city of Portland that weekend!
