Volvo 264 TE Limo...questions!

Hi all, I'm new to the forum, just gotta couple of questions really.

I've been doing some research on the TE's, was just wondering if anyone knows how many we're originally imported, and of course how many remain to this day,

Iirc the 264 TE was only made for the GDR and Sweden. A total of 335 were made. So if most of them stayed in Sweden and the GDR, a varstly small amount will be in GB. If at all. Like the P1900.

There are a few, three RHD ex-embassy 264TEs turned up last year on ebay, all in pretty ratty condition. nobody on here bought one, they went for about £1000 each.

Hi,

Yes I did see the few that turned up, I also see the stripped out rolling shell in Axminster that was on there, and I now own it, hence the questions. It was bought by someone racing related in Sittingbourne (10 mins or so from me) with the view to racing it, however I ended up buying it, but it had already began being "prepped" for racing so as a viable restoration there was virtually no possibility. I did read somewhere, originally only 8 (although it varies to 13 elsewhere) RHD models were imported to the uk...unsure now true this is

You're right. It is not exactly mentioned.
But you can at least see if there are still some around.

The 264TE is anyway in several ways special since not many infos and or documents are available.
It took me many years to find a spare catalog. And when I finally found one I realized that none of the specific parts for this car are available.

Still looking for years for a couple of parts. So please tell me if you're aware of a car sleeping at a scrapyard.

When I got my 264 unfortunately it was a completely stripped shell so has no save able parts
