Hi
I have just removed the intake manifold from my 2005 2.0D s40 So i can clean out all the crap that builds up. I am looking for the best way to clean the intake ports on the cylinder head AS I AM worried about the crap falling into the cylinders Also i was going to use carb cleaner any other tips on best methord or cleaning products would be of great help SAM_1026.jpg SAM_1028.jpg SAM_1030.jpg SAM_1032.jpg Thanks Mark |

Hi mark,
Do you have access to compressed air? If you do it may be worth getting an air Vac and using a small nozzle to break it off and vacuum it out. I was going to do mine soon. Hopefully it isn't that bad!! I will be using petrol in a bowl to clean mine. Same thing I do when I clean out intercooler cores. Fill it with petrol, leave it to soak and then get scrubbing with a bottle brush
