Default decoke this time with pictures

Hi
I have just removed the intake manifold from my 2005 2.0D s40
So i can clean out all the crap that builds up.
I am looking for the best way to clean the intake ports on the cylinder head AS I AM worried about the crap falling into the cylinders
Also i was going to use carb cleaner any other tips on best methord or cleaning products would be of great help

Hi mark,

Do you have access to compressed air? If you do it may be worth getting an air Vac and using a small nozzle to break it off and vacuum it out. I was going to do mine soon. Hopefully it isn't that bad!! I will be using petrol in a bowl to clean mine. Same thing I do when I clean out intercooler cores. Fill it with petrol, leave it to soak and then get scrubbing with a bottle brush
