  • VOC Members: There is no login facility using your VOC membership number or the details from page 3 of the club magazine. You need to register in the normal way
  • AOL Customers: Make sure you check the 'Remember me' check box otherwise the AOL system may log you out during the session. This is a known issue with AOL.
  • AOL, Yahoo and Plus.net users. Forum owners such as us are finding that AOL, Yahoo and Plus.net are blocking a lot of email generated from forums. This may mean your registration activation and other emails will not get to you, or they may appear in your spam mailbox

I read it earlier in this post so went in to ask my dealer and he did the patch as they called it?

So there is a patch that Volvo are calling it- but it basically rolls back the modem firmware to the previous version apparently.

Should I ask them what they did?

No thanks. I will be at my dealer on Friday to replace the struts. Will ask him again that day.

Went today to change the rear hatch struts under the recall notice and they have told me that VIDA suggests that there is a 2.0 update for my car. They performed it and it seems it was not a full one but just a three modules.

Modem now seems to be working OK and get connected to internet automatically. (Fingers crossed)

So there must be an update from March onwards

My XC60 is MY19. That problem of the rear hatch struts is from your car's model year only or will i get that same recall notice?? My car was produced at the end of September 2018.

Hello steladamo,

I am from Greece too (Athens) and I recently bought (December 2018) a XC90 T8 Inscription. I am facing the same problem regarding car's modem and my dealer said (after tell them about this rollback update) that they will investigate but there is no official reply from VOLVO. Can you please tell me on a private message who your dealer is, or what did they officially replied?

It is for all 2018-2019 SPA XC60. Just call your dealer give them your vin and they book an appointment for you. It is not a long process

Yeah the update (rollback) hasn't worked so well, in Central London had two dropouts today which is really annoying when you're using Spotify/TuneIn.

Will ask if there's a new update out!
