Default Sat nav update installation

Folks, any info on this. I’ve got a 13 plate with the RTi MMM system. I’ve just bought the 2 disc update. How do I update, some suggestion is I load the disc(s) and go for a 2 hr drive.......I only do that far once a year for my hols, surely there must be an easier/less fuel consuming way

Yes you load disk one and follow the onscreen directions and load disc 2 when it says. You don't have to go for a drive but it take a couple of hours which is possible with a good fully charged battery but you can just put a battery charger on while the disks are loading. If I remember correctly Volvo recommend this route.

Or just sit in your car with the engine idling for 2hrs and read a good book ;-)

Job done. Thankfully you can do it a bit at a time and it just pauses when you turn engine off
