There used to be some stuff called Dum Dum. Never found a use for it, personally, but it might be what you need.
Google led me here: http://proformproducts.com/en/produc...m-strip-caulk/ Dunno if it's what Volvo use or recommend, however. |

I have just used this to seal all the holes around the trim strip clips. It is like dumdum but I think dum dum is too sensitive to temperature to use as a putty, I may be wrong but check before you go down that route.
Have a look at this: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VOLVO-AMAZ...0AAOSwVL1WBbF8 Regards Jamie |

Yes I've searched for a similar product for my Amazon when I put my fuel tank back in and ended up using some Dum Dum I've had for years.
I think it will probably be OK as it's in a cool area of the car so it will not go too soft. I've now accidently come across the real thing which has the butyl in it and has more body to it so is ideal for trim clips etc, I bought it from a body shop in the Cotswolds and it's on a roll 5 metres long but is more rounded than flat (like the Ebay picture shows) There is no Product name or code so I can't offer any help with it's supplier but it was £21:80 plus VAT and I assume the body shop keeps a supply for their own use. I could ask if they would sell a box and mail it out............... |

Dum-Dum is no more due to "environmental issues".
Maybe try https://www.spraygunsdirect.co.uk/3m....dFwjf6TG.dpbs |
