Default First China-built Volvo S90 sedans arrive in Europe

Volvo Cars has become the first automaker in the world to export China made cars to Europe by train via China’s new ‘One Belt, One Road’ trade initiative.The first S90 premium sedans, built at its Daqing plant in China, will arrive at a distribution centre in Zeebrugge, Belgium this week.

Probably a daft question but will this reduce the cost of the vehicles as they are built in China or will it all be about the profit.

I personally don't see a price reduction in any of the models.

A better profit and lower operating costs for Volvo methinks!

Loving the Vauxhall Omega styled rear end (or possibly Hyundai)....and the generic Audi front

Sorry for my cynicism...but seriously..there's nothing exciting to see here

I love the front and the sides but the rear... is just so damn ugly.

If Citroen and Alfa Romeo can be innovative and stylish with their new models, why the hell can't Volvo....

Why should they devalue a premium brand ford did a good enough job of that when they owned it with all there generic ford crap fitted to them

you havent seen the C70 concept car yet :-) The S90 is indeed special when you stand by it , it's BIG .

I sat in one the other day at the main dealer. It seriously is a lovely car and looks better in reality than in the pictures. The XC90 and V90 both look much bigger too. I was able to sit in all three and have a play with all the gizmos and was very impressed. They made my XC70 somewhat agricultural and that is fitted with all the added extras one can buy!
