  • VOC Members: There is no login facility using your VOC membership number or the details from page 3 of the club magazine. You need to register in the normal way

Default Volvo V40 2001 side skirts remowal

How to remove the side skirts on above vehicle, two clips are broken so I would like to replace it...

If I remember correctly there are a couple of screws per side. Once these are out you have to slide the skirt forward or back (can't remember) so that the remaining plastic clips unlodge. The plastic clips are notorious for breaking so best to buy a few before removal if you can.

I broke every single clip when I tried to remove side skirts from my V40. I haven't bought new clips so I've been driving around without the side skirts for 3 months now. Looks a bit weird

Having broken about five clips, I now know to slide them. I didn't know that before I pulled them. Oh well.

I'm tempted just to leave the skirts off.
