Thanks. I hadn't seen those tyres at this size so they are definitely the ones to go for.

Thanks

Nigel

Hi,

I am still on my original set on my T8 Momentum at 53,500 miles. I diagonally rotate tyres every 10,000 miles.

Might just make the 3rd service at 56K miles before I have to replace.

Much better than my Rx400h & Rx450h with both struggled to get 25,000 miles out of a set.

Regards

Rojah

June 17 XC90 D5 PP Inscription on 21" wheels
Popped into tyre place the other week as having done 27k tyres might need changing (My X5 used to need 4 every 20k).
Was surprised to be told rears less than half worn and fronts have a good 6k in them.
Also happy with Pirelli Scorpions - based on experience with X5 (run flats) a change to Dunlops produced a marked reduction in road noise.

I had the Scorpian Verdes on my last XC70 AWD and they last really well and I did nearly 20000 miles on them and still had 4mm on the most worn tyre.

Which tyres and size do you have on your T8, I'll be happy if my tyres last 25k, my last 3 mk 1 XC90's were very poor on tyre life and 13 to 15k was all I ever got out of them.

I have tried several configurations with different type of cars and I have ALWAYS found the best compromise being MICHELIN.
I don't think that the MSS is a good option for the xc90.
I will receive my car in November/december and the first thing I will do is to buy a set of MICHELIN latitude sport 3.It's a summer tyre but it's excellent on wet surface.

for the winter season, in Denmark, I never found a really efficient MICHELIN.
I am very satisfied with the PIRELLI SCORPION ICE AND SNOW XL.it's very efficient on any type of snow but it's a noisy tyre.if you're living in a place where it seldom snows then the MICHELIN LATITUDE ALPIN shall be good enough.much less noisy but also much less efficient on ''packed'' snow.

Do you not rate Michelin Cross Climates then?

Although the Michelin Crossclimate seems to be a very good all season tyre,
but the german Adac still isn't very fond of it:
https://www.adac.de/infotestrat/test...05_55_r16.aspx
In fact they feel that even the best all season tyre is inferior to a good winter- or summer tyre.
I think they are right.
