Default XC90 enquiry

My first post :0)

So been in the market for an SUV and wife insists we get something with 7 seats. Narrowed it down to the Q7 or XC90. I like the big engine in the Audi but for me the Volvo shines more everywhere else.

Spec:
D5 Inscription
Onyx Black
Winter Pack + HUD
Xenium Pack
Seven Seat Comfort
Dynamic 21”
Tow bar / Subwoofer / Laminated + Tinted Windows

Looking at DTD they are quoting the car at around £7k or 11% cheaper than Volvos configurator. Can you see any dealership willing to match this?

Also, is air suspension a must with 21’ wheels?

TIA

Try Carwow for discounts - there's several on there who seem to be able to offer discounts of that sort of size, certainly if you can compromise on spec and take a stock car.

I always use DTD as a starting point with my local dealer. I always like to get my car from my local dealership, they shouldn't then ever have any excuses to look after me and provide the best service. So, if my local dealership can come within a few hundred quid of my best online offer, I'm happy, and to date I've always managed to achieve this.

Not sure I'd accept a stock car, or a car without the exact spec I wanted just to get the deal, push hard and you'll get a factory order at the price you want.

That's what I'm hoping that my local dealership is offering to match the price or at least come close to it.

I won't be accepting stock as I'm happy to wait until March registration

Have you had an extended test drive with a car with same wheel size and suspension you hope to get, do not buy either without doing so. You may change your mind on one or the other by the outcome of the road test.

Have only had an extended drive on 20" with standard springs. Didn't really notice the road noise but we did notice the Q7 was quieter. I've seen a few mentions of road noise being a problem but is that amplified by the type of tyre or a fault with the car design?

However before signing anything I will arrange an extended drive on my preferred spec.

My local dealer discounted mine 10.5% this year, so it's possible.

Volvo uk state it is a characteristic of the car. I have air suspension and 20" wheels with contisilent tyres and I am disappointed in the amount of noise and ride quality.
