  • VOC Members: There is no login facility using your VOC membership number or the details from page 3 of the club magazine. You need to register in the normal way
  • AOL Customers: Make sure you check the 'Remember me' check box otherwise the AOL system may log you out during the session. This is a known issue with AOL.

Following the Map updates the other week, the VoC App update the other day, today I find a rash of updates (well 4) on the car

Sensus of course decides to play its usual game.

Spotify says there is an update, and wont let me change anything. Going to the download Centre tells me there are no updates

Turning off and back on again sorts it, and then Sensus tells me Spotify, TuneIn and a couple of others (don't recall which) have updates.

Updates downloaded and installed in a few minutes, without any issues

I was in the car today playing Spotify. I'd muted/paused the music and then a little time after got out of the car and locked it for 10 minutes. When I returned the music was still paused/muted and when I tried to play again it wouldn't. I opened the Spotify tile to see what was going on and was presented with the update is available message and no controls (not even controls to select a different media source).

So I open download centre and sure enough there was the update, along with Wikipedia, Google and TuneIn. I tapped to download and install Spotify and left it to it. I still hadn't changed the media source at this point and decided to talk to the family instead!! Anyway, lo and behold after the download and install had completed Spotify started playing again, with full interface up and running etc... Amazed!!

This morning TuneIn did not start but told me to update. Unfortunately I had still a map update running so the download centre insisted on finishing that update first. When that happened I already was on the motorway and had to "Restart to finish the update". So in the end I was stuck with USB music for the tour.
TuneIn on the return trip updated then in a minute without a problem.
I really would like to see some changelogs for those updates as I can not find anything differs from before.

I dread these app updates as they never seem to work first time for me and I end up going without Spotify et al for a day or more.

Agree completely, that's usually the case, hence my surprise when in the space of a 30 minute journey Spotify downloaded, installed and started playing again!!

Its still annoying that as soon as an update becomes available the app is effectively locked until you do the update.

Unfortunately having no joy at all with mine. Keep getting the app could not be installed and that an error report has been sent.

I get the same error with map updates.

Did mine on the move today, all 4 apps downloaded and installed in less than 20 minutes without problem.

I had the same pleasurable experience with this round of updates. Good job I was sitting down else I'd have fallen over. Quite why Spotify in particular forces you to update is blooming annoying.

All the update issues I've had before have been resolved by deleting the problem app, leaving the car overnight then reinstalling. Not ideal I know...

So today, predictably, the car said 4 updates available but I chose to update only Spotify, not wishing to push my luck. It downloaded quickly but took about 20 mins to update. Seriously, wtf is it doing that it takes that long to apply a tiny ~6MB file?

Needless to say, the other 3 app updates have now disappeared. You'd think that after 2 years in the field this whole process would be improved.
