  • VOC Members: There is no login facility using your VOC membership number or the details from page 3 of the club magazine. You need to register in the normal way

I would never fill an engine based on a quoted oil fill figure because they are often wrong.

Also they may well be dry fill volume which you won't achieve in the workshop although you may get close if you drain overnight.

You always do it by the dipstick. Haynes advised pouring in half the required volume and then check it and top up to the mark. Then with a new oil filter, start the engine and run for a few seconds then stop wait a few minutes and check again.
