(Very) First Impressions - XC90 T8

Got mine a week and a bit ago, and have done maybe 150 miles or so of my usual driving pattern (mostly shortish journeys locally) I have to confess to being gobsmacked. Luxurious, quiet (I run on Pure quite a lot), amazingly fast when needed and the best bit - my mpg is coming out at >70mpg and often well over 100. Now I know that when I drive over to the Lakes today 140m round trip) it’ll be way worse than that, but this is my usual driving pattern. I actually think I get more elec miles than I used to in my Outlander (which promised c30 but was often 20 or less).

Very impressed.

Well back from my trip to the lakes. 128miles and averaged 37mpg, which is mostly on some “sporting” A roads through the dales then 25 miles of dual carriageway. Averaged 47 on the way there - amazed by how long the battery hung in for - definitely way longer than my Mitsi. On the way back it was 28 for the first 40 (a lot of 75-80mph on dual carriageways) before a cuppa stop, then 30 for the last bit.

As I only do journeys like that once a month or so I’m pretty confident I’ll be getting the neck end of 50mpg overall, which for a big car that does a lot of short journeys is fab.

Ive had mine about 2 weeks and I'm getting 32mpg average.

Very quite, and it shifts when needed. I was in a L322 Range Rover and love the tech on the XC90

Either Yorkshire has moved to Australia, in which case 'G'day',
Or you're using an iPhone, as apparently they can do this to photos. Something to do with xml data in the photo I believe, but I'm not sure how to change, sorry,

Its fine, when I click on the thumbnail the picture appears again (still upside down) on its own, but when I click on that picture it puts it the right way up. so all good in the end. Nice car! Great colour

Macbook, so probably similar issue to the phonee.

Anyway - v pleased with the colour (despite the dodgy name) and the interior too.

Nice car!

I always thought plugin hybrids were daft until I tried one, now owning one I wouldn't want to go back to a 'normal' car, hoping Volvo release some good all electric cars within the next few years... Although I have a feeling I will be priced out of buying one of them

I find I drive better since having one, even though you have all that power I feel inclined to use the battery as much as possible.
