Hu 803 and mp3 car interface
Hello
Anyone using successfully this with the HU 803? Mine behaves strange, sometimes it appear the cd changer, some other times ...no, when appears it say cd error. Other times even there is no cd player??? I have connected to cd changer plug and yellow wire to red on the main radio plug. Am I doing something wrong? Many Thanks |

a few ideas
The box you have looks similar to one i installed some years ago and ir works great, where did you get it from & are there no instructions on what the yellow wire is for? i think from memory its a permanent +12v feed to allow the box to remain powered.
What format of files are you using? /bitrate etc?, also like most things some devices dont work well with certain size usb or sd cards, so try a few files on a smaller memory card or usb drive & see if anything happens.. |

Ty for the reply.
i got it from ebay. From a UK shop. maybe the problem is the yellow wire. i saw in a video that it should connect to the red cable from the factory plug that goes into the radio. but does it have permanent power? i dont think so. maybe thats the problem. i know it support mag 16gb sd cards. It supports mp3 files of 8kbps to 320 kpbs. I might also need to format the sd on fat 16 or 32 i guess mines are NTFS..... Thank You for the help.. |

Format
I'm thinking the NTFS formatting is the more likely problem, most devices can read the older fat type formatting, a lot less will work with NTFS...
What type of media have you tried so far ? |

I have one of those in mine. Yes, the yellow wire must be permanent 12v. I would check that first.
