Default Paint code

Paint question.

I have bought an ex-police T5 estate and have upgraded here and there but just need to rub down and spray up a couple of parts eg roof spoiler and bumper inserts etc.

The car is white but the paint code is silver....When I took the interior out the inside of the doors is silver but everywhere-else is white. I asked my local Volvo dealer and he said that Volvo resprayed some silver cars white for police use on the basis that they may have had a glut of silver bodyshells. this was done at bare bodyshell stage so underbonnet and everywhere is visibly white rather than being a cheap respray where a colour change is obvious.

My problem is that I am trying to find a paint code for an ex plod white T5. I was told that it was a Ford white but which one?

Can anybody help.

Thanks in advance.

Interesting problem.

Ask at several auto paint supply shops. Find a guy who "got the memo".

Is this color scheme jurisdiction specific or national?

Ask Volvo. You said it was an assembly line operation.

Does the police department have its own repair shop or use one you could find?
