reassembling front springs and control arms
I have replaced the bushing in my lower control arms and reattached them to the car. But, I am having problems putting the springs back in. As I raise the control arm with a floor jack, the springs slips out of place towards the outside of the control arm, and will not stay centered. Does anyone have any tips for installing the springs into their proper position?

I did this last summer; but, on my 142 so my method may not be totally applicable. As I raised the lower control arm with the jack, the spring started to slip out of the lower perch much as you described. Just as it started to slip out I stopped raising the lower control arm and used a piece of 2x4 lumber and a 3 lb mallet to tap it back into position. Raised it a little more and tapped the spring back into position, repeat.

my solution
I built this to keep the spring centered. Took 5 or 10 minutes to make, a minute or less to install and worked like a charm.
