Default "Part-finder Websites"

In my search for a drivers seat I have come across loads of websites that state they will search databases of 100's of scrap yards and find your part.

Has anyone had any success with them ...or are they just looking for contact details to sell on?

I bought a viscous fan through one of these types. They found a yard with one & left me to contact them direct to make the purchase. I did not receive loads of spam afterwards.

The actual company (a scrappy), were very un-interested when I made the purchase, was like I was a nuisance for them. The fan was delivered & packaging was somewhat inadequate, but the fan survived & is, so far good.

I left 'relevant feedback' on the partfinder web-site.

I'll give it a go, doesn't seem to be that many scrapyards in my area and I need some bits and pieces, I'll use one of my 'other' email addresses !!
(....desperate for a different seat, think I felt something moving in there yesterday !!)
