Having been persuaded by a mate I am bolting on old panels in a bid to get it road worthy while I finish the good panels. Which has so far meant playing seesaw and using a pickaxe to straighten the front panel.
I have taken the old bumpers off and the tow bar and was wondering if there were any other towbar set ups which do not require drilling through the rear bumper. I dont like the idea of wrecking my new bumpers. |

I got one that bolts to the bumper irons and has bars running under the tank to be bolted to the sloping part at the front of the boot floor.
Can provide pics if wanted, looks fairly easy to fabricate.

Here you go. Want any more or dimensions let me know. I used penny washers inside the boot, though I have read since that a plate should have been used across the four bolts. Where about in Essex are you, I'm in Essex too?

As you say looks quite simple. Only issue is I do not have a welder at the mo so it will have to wait. My one doesn't have the bars under the back. But then I have an estate so it might be different. Does anyone know if there are any legal/safety requierments for tow bars?

Been doing some more work on the car. Sprayed the car up and bolted more goodies on. Also doing other bits and bobs / upgrades. Hopefully have it on the road in the next couple of weeks.
One of my little opening front door windows rivets have snapped. How do I replace them? Can it be fixed on the car? Last edited by Quarterless; Mar 5th, 2013 at 21:05. |

Cool pictures. Sorry, I don't know how to fix that, but to replace the vent window you have to remove the sliding one (I thinnk). Seems to me there was a post about this recently.
