Default Service schedule?

Does the new XC90 need a service every 12 months?

There is an offer with the Affinity scheme of 3 years servicing for £300, 5 years £500. I just wondered how many services that would cover.

My dealer is not very knowledgeable, thought I was better asking here.

I bought mine using the Affinity Scheme and went for the 3 yr/£300 offer. I did the same and checked, it is every 12 months/18k miles.

Super thanks. I think I'll order tomorrow, just waiting a couple of clarifications from the dealer. The service deal is a good offer.

The 3 year & 5 year service offer is definitely a great offer. Anyone know if servicing with Volvo then gives you free breakdown cover if anything goes wrong. Mercedes do this if you get the car serviced by them, but so it should when you are paying £120 plus an hour labour at their workshops.

Yes, your new car is enrolled in the Volvo Assistance scheme, which includes breakdown cover in various situations and software updates at service time.

More info for the UK/Europe scheme can be found here:

Yes, even if you don't drive a lot, Volvo wants (some of) your money each year.

Yes - as far as I know, you stay in the Volvo breakdown scheme for as long as you keep having the car serviced by Volvo.

comprehensive roadside assistance cover from
the first date of registration for new vehicles* or 1
year of comprehensive roadside assistance cover
from the date of purchase for Volvo Selekt used
cars.
As your initial complimentary cover period nears
expiry** you can extend this cover free of charge
for an additional12 months and enjoy the same
comprehensive benefits by having your Volvo
serviced by an Approved Volvo Service Centre ***

* New vehicles first registered on or after
01/01/2012 are supplied with 3 years Volvo
Assistance cover. New vehicles first registered
up to and including 31/12/2011 are supplied
with 1 years Volvo Assistance cover.
** Details of the complimentary period of cover
your car enjoys and full benefits can be found
in your Service Booklet supplied with your car.
*** Applicable where a full Volvo scheduled service
has been completed.
Pity they don't know how to spell complementary correctly.
