Default Anti-skid service message after new track rod end fitted

Just had a new track rod end fitted and the tracking is now way off (steering wheel like a quarter turn out) the mechanic had to cut the old TRE off it was seized solid, time was getting late, so I agreed to take the car away as it's booked in for a Hunters alignment this Sat.

Soon as I set off I got the "Anti-Skid Service" message and the "Anti-skid Temporarily Off" along with the yellow triangle.

I'm guessing the ABS/Traction Control doesn't like the steering angle as it is and is flagging this fault??

Will this reset itself once the steering is straight again?

Any advice welcome please.

Hi
To my knowledge - it should as its only a temporary fault. I am getting a warning when I use my dstc-off mod, the dash flashes orange triangle and warning is present but only until car restart. When it checks the issue is gone, al should be back to normal.
It will leave trace in car's memory though, as an old error code.

Thanks, I'm not using it today but first thing tomorrow it's being 'huntered' then I'm hoping it will clear.

I always worry that it could be something serious but the steering wheel being so far out is the only thing that's changed, never had any warnings on this car ever....

Hi
Unless the mechanic has unplugged or damaged the wheel speed sensor wiring?

Em, true that, actually, points for that! Same error would appear if one of ABS sensors got damaged/unplugged/cut. Worth checking!!

When work has been carried out on suspension or steering the steering angle sensor should be re-calibrated.

Maybe but would that bring up an anti skid ABS error?

The anti skid message also covers the elements the make up the Dynamic Stability Control system as the are all integrated.
