Default clicking noise when pulling away

Hi V70 55 plate man box. when taking up the drive (slow) pulling away clicking noise coming from both front wheels.can hear it when pulling away from standstill stopping putting gear in reverse and going backwards think it might be both cv outer joints taking up the flex inside anyone come across this before.
Regards
PS can only hear the sound with the window down but it is loud.

Take off the hub caps and check the drive shaft bolts for tightness.

A search here for 'driveshaft bolt' will reveal the correct torque etc.

Is it a constant clicking noise or just a onetime noise when doing one of the above movements?

I would absolutely lay money on the fact that your driveshaft end bolts are loose.
Replace them with XC90 bolts ( about £30 for 2 ) BUT will cure it it. You can do this yourself and will definitely take no more than 10 minutes all in. HONESTLY!!

Read here.

I would agree with the driveshaft bolts! I had the same, fixed it a treat. Sadly I also had a similar noise come back, which turned out to be the driveshaft (but this clicking / tapping noise happened all the time and not just when pulling off).

Yes this is what we supply here. They are not cheap but certainly do solve the problem. We have even sold these to Ford Focus ST owners, as they are cheaper from us than from Ford (as Ford are selling the Volvo part).

The official Torque setting for the rubber cone version of this bolt is 50 Nm.

We can supply these bolts, as said above they are not cheap at around £30 plus postage, if you are interested then please see the contact info in my banner below!

Hope this helps,

Simon

Hi, I'm very new to these forums and would appreciate any help at all!!
I have a C30 t5 2010 that's done 30k and I'm getting this clicking from front wheels, (when setting off, when I shift down to stop, and even when boost comes in sometimes it Is running fairly hi boost thow. It's almost always when the nose lifts or drops?? I changed the drive shaft bolts for originals and the noise is still there, I then changed them for xc90 bolts and noise is still there? Also seems to be getting worst.
PLEASE HELP ME GUYS its driven me mad.
