CEL up, Vida out, I dont know what to think of it..
Literally- i dont know what to think.
maybe because my mind is occupied by something else. anyway- i was in the middle of that "something else", doing my rounds loaded with tools, when CEL popped up. no misbehaviour from the car at all. just the light. made it home, pulled out DICE and laptop, as for first time using it i think i did good.. car read, codes read: Code:
AUM-41FF Amplifier, Sub-antenna signal missing DTC is found not active BCM-0100 Comunication between control units DTC is found active Communication problems with ECM CCM-0021 Air quality sensor internal fault DTC is found active CCM-E003 Configuration fault, faulty configuration DTC is found not active CEM-6A01 Door unlocked, left rear signal too high DTC is found not active CEM-6A02 Door unlocked, right rear signal too high DTC is found not active CEM-6A03 Door locked, left rear signal too low DTC is found not active CEM-6C46 Antenna/light ring internal fault DTC is found not active CEM-8F21 windshield wipers signal too low DTC is found not active CEM-1A54 communication with PSM control DTC is found not active module- signal missing CEM-1C02 L-signal signal too low DTC is found not active CEM-8F2b Relay, front windshield washer pump DTC is found not active signal missing CEM-8C15 Relay, front fog light signal missing DTC is found not active CEM-8FA3 Relay, horn signal too low DTC is found not active DDM-0024 Mirror motor MX+ signal too low DTC is found active DDM-0027 Mirror motor MY+ signal too low DTC is found active DDM-0025 Mirror motor signal missing DTC is found not active DIM-0001 Mileage manipulated DTC is found not active ECM-250A Long term fuel trim- upper limit DTC is found not active PDM-0027 Mirror motor MY+ signal too low DTC is found not active PDM-002B Mirror motor MC signal too low DTC is found active PSM no fault found REM-8D11 High mounted stop lamp faulty signal DTC is found not active REM-8F63 Relay, rear windshield defroster signal DTC is found not active missing SRS no fault found SWM-E003 configuration fault faulty configuration DTC is found not active SWM-000D Windshield wiper lever invalid combination DTC is found not active TCM no fault found UEM-0004 Siren communication fault DTC is found active UEM-0038 General lighting signal too low DTC is found active UEM-003D Lauggage compart light faulty signal DTC is found active UEM-0080 Rain sensor signal missing DTC is found active UEM-0083 Rain sensor internal fault DTC is found not active so most of stuff above can actually go to bin.. whats disconcerting- i cant see any reason for CEL! and yet its up.. so.. erase codes, do as instructed (engine off, engine on, rev to 1500, idle, engine off, engine on, idle for 30 seconds) read codes again (CEL is gone!) Code:
CCm-0021 Air quality sensor internal fault CCM- E003 Configuration fault, faulty configuration what the hell was that CEL? me thinks the only thing i can do is to go, drive again, and see if it comes back. then read again? Notes: UEM-004 yes, siren is faulty UEM-003D in addition to bulb, i fitted extra LED strip along line where plastic trim meets fabric of the roof UEM-0080 strangely wipers work mostly fine.. sometimes theres a hesitation when stopped in traffic in very light rain

From what I have read on this forum over the last few years, what you describe has happened to your car is not that unique....V70/S60 of the age this forum section covers do strange things electrically.
Reading, then clearing the DTC codes with VIDA/DICE would appear to be the No.1 go to "try this first" advice when electrical gremlins strike. Another reason that the VIDA/DICE setup should be in the tool kit. Cheers Bob |
