Default P0562 Charging fault

My V70 r design 2010. sitting in car park with engine running fault came up on charging system urgent service. then car cut out as many faults showed on dash. Car would not re start and battery was dead. checking at home only one code shows after battery re charge. P0562 ANYONE ELSE HAD THIS FAULT. Multi meter shows no charge coming from alternator. would alternator replacement solve this or is there something else.

Replace alternator, unless you're handy and want to try and fix it youself.

Default easy fix

I was hoping someone else had this fault and replaced the regulator at £30 rather than the alternator. Volvo never made the alternator an easy change a few parts to be removed before getting alternator off. thanks anyway Bob.
