Default V70 t5 intake hose elbow position

Hi all when replacing a vacuum line I noticed the rubber elbow with the white vacuum air line which connects to the side off the intake pipe had come off from the engine end area and was perished.
Can someone tell me where it goes to?
Regards
Dan

Hi it seems like it came from the side of the engine.

Can you take a picture?

Here is the vacuum line diagram for these engines, maybe it helps?

Hi thanks I have that diagram it comes of the air intake after the maf and seems to go to a purge valve?
The pipe itself is 4 mm in diameter and connects to a plastic white pipe with a rubber 90 degree elbow which connects on the underside of the air intake pipe. The other end has come off.

I've done all the pipes on my one so reasonably intimate with them now lol
The pipe your talking about goes to a 1 way valve first before it goes to the fuel vapour purge valve.
There is 2 one way valves on that part of the system, there primary purpose is to stop boost pressure being pushed back in to the fuel vapour/breather system.
One of the 1 way valves is for when the engine is at idle and the second is when at cruise where there wouldn't be enough vacuum to pull the fuel vapours into the manifold.
If it's the other pipe on the intake pipe it goes to the boost solenoid valve.
P.S. thats for the 99 on models...as that's what mine is

Sounds the same on the pre- 99 models too - did all that on my 97R recently and it improved things tremendously!! I used aluminium, one-way valves off Fleabay that were around a quid each. The two sides are of course different sizes on the originals, so I got valves with a duel 10mm outlet and then just bougjt differing size of scilicone hose for one side and stretched it over. Can't remember exact sizes now though.

Hi that sounds right to me so where is this one way Valve? I've seen two mounted underneath the intake plastic shroud mounted above the gearbox. One is there and the other connection doesn't seem to require one unless I'm looking in the wrong place. The pipe diameter was 4 mm. To be honest these looked like mounted connections but not the valves that are mentioned.
