Default Anyone else got a Bifuel?

Hi - a bit of a newbie so sorry if elsewhere but does anyone else have a Bifuel and can you tell me what the capacity is of the LPG tank and what the approx MPG is on gas?

Whilst I'm on, has anyone fitted a seperate CD/MP3 stacker to the HU-803?

I found THIS when scouring the web - looks as if I can use this to fit my MP3 stacker in the boot, maybe? (It's an Alpine with AI Net).

Hi,

You may well find that the CD changer cable is already fitted to your car.
If you get the right Alpine or a Volvo badged CD changer you will not need a converter to connect.

Cheers CTCN - er, where should I look for the lead... don't want to mess with the HU end if at all possible... does it come out in the boot as in BMW?

Hi,

In the boot is the most likely location.
Not having looked in a 60 model (I take it is a 60!) have a check of left and right side under floor storage spaces as the most likely loactions.

Or some bright spark who has one will post..

If you have one it should be located on the left hand side in the boot (near to tail light lamp cluster).

If you fit it in the correct place I guess you will need to buy a new panel for the boot interior that does not have the recess moulded into it.

OK guys - here is what there is behind the rear nearside boot panel. There is a plastic multiwire plug which is taped to the lighting harness - can anyone confirm what this is for .... is it a connector for a CD changer, by any chance?..or am I way off beam?

Hi,

Those look like the connections for a lighting harness for a trailor.

The cable for the CD is usually (well, mine is anyway) is round and not dissimilar to a din plug.

I found mine tied/clipped into the wheel arch on the drivers side. Along with a power cable connection.

You mean like it fits on the metal end of this...?

Cheers CTCN - I'll have a look tomorrow.

Thats a small picture, but yes, looks pretty close..
Do have a hunt round, lift (carefully, of course!) some of the insulation wadding as mine was underneath the stuff, hooked to the inner wheel arch seam with a clip.

Luck,

No, it appears I ain't got one. It that case I think I'll take the HU-803 out, shove a fascia plate in and put my Alpine MP3 player in. I can run the ai-net lead to the boot and connect to my Alpine 6 disc MP3 changer that way. Pity really, if I could have found a harness kit which would allow the changer to run from the HU-803 I would have preferred it... don't like fascia plates much.
