It is in lovely condition; the leather seats look superb. How much you looking for?

Always been a non smokers car. Seats are excellent - drivers seat has minor wear "cracks". I was going to give them a going over with saddle soap, but never got round to it. No tears or rips - backs don't look sat in ! If I'm being picky - there's slight marking of the arm rest covering - easy fix. All locks / controls work as they should. No oil smears or leaks under the bonnet. As stated - it's a "genuine" car.

Car would benefit from a damn good clean ! But it's not shabby or overly dirty.

In fact a pro valet would bring it up to the standard it deserves.

Looking for offers based on £1000.

IF I do decide to sell and you are not interested I'll put it on E-Bay in the new year for a £1000 start price and no reserve.

It looks a beauty and I would love the car to be honest. I'm currently about to work eleven nights straight so getting to Redditch will be a complete nightmare.

I would, however, love to purchase the car once the Xmas madness is out of the way. If you are willing to wait, I will purchase the car. How much life is there in the tyres? I ask because I would like to get some bigger alloys put on the car.

Very nice car and thanks for making it available.

Hi Tony - yes you will NOT be disappointed with this car.

No problem, as you can guess from my posts, I'm in no rush !

Here's a deal - I won't advertise it for general sale until you've had a chance to view it after Christmas, again - no rush.

Tyres are excellent - see pic. IF I kept ( keep ) it I also intend ( ed ) to fit bigger wheels.

I've found an excellent source of 20mm spacers - top quality. I was looking at the possibility of using Jaguar wheels. I've got 16"'s and 18" available to try out.

If they don't go on the V70 - then they will go on the 940 !!

If you need any further info. just let me know.

Okay, Beachcomber, and thanks. I would love some old retro wheels on there, but I'll have to wait. The whole point of a cheap car is to keep it cheap! I've had too many old motors where I have pimped them out and lost too much money.

Speak after Christmas.

Thanx BB - yes it IS a great car, that's what has been causing my indecision as to which one to keep.

The 940 is in equally good condition [ pro-rata] - the original idea was get a cheap car to play with that remains practical to replace my aborted 1955 Vanguard Estate Hot Rod. Sadly that plan went out of the window, I've spent much more than I intended on the 940.

If the V70 goes in the New Year then I have a few quid to spend on the 940 to finish off odd jobs.

Tony,

I've taxed / insured the car as I'm having to use it for a few weeks.

Let me know if you are still interested.

If this car has had doen all the things on 'the list' it's worth buying. Frankly the PCV, heater core, etc etc done are worth £7-800 over and above to anyone. Simply becasue it'll cost more than that in labour to get it done.

Looks tidy, which is seductive. Careful, don't get a hard-on for this sort of thing too easily. I'd not be too taken in by a car that looks clean. Pulling the trans dipstick and seeing dark red or pink, seeing a heater-core done, and feeling for a nice squidgy and soft PCV hose etc etc would be my 'kink'. Else you've got a month of weekends to do these jobs, and that comes off your price. 150K is only average. I'm found one at the moment with 65K on it. At 150K, if the jobs have not been done, it's not unheard of cars like it to see the breaker pile by 160K. Show me a cambelt sticker and a ripped seat. That is the car you really want. (seats are a quick & cheap fix) Else, you can look at Barrification 'Wideboyz innit' alloys and wheel swaps all you like.

On the other hand, at 150K, get extra horny for two Magnefines etc etc under the bonnet That sort of thing speaks a volume. Find that car and it's worth nearly as much as a 65K example, and might well stay running for longer.

As there's been no response it's going on eBay at the end of the month when tax / insurance becomes due.

Did I mention somewhere that ALL the fluids had been changed 1000 miles ago?
