121k high miles? Not at all. Like anything, the odd item will fail, but the majority will go on for far longer than the 144k yours has managed. I`ve seen endless 850/V70`s with way over 200k on the same box.

It`s your choice, but the box is good with no issues at all. You could spend £300 on another box that would fail within a few thousand miles. I`d also ask your mate to lower his prices! £180 is pretty steep for a gearbox replacement!

Let me know if you need it anyway.

yeah it seems ok price for the box its just i dont want put a box in and then take it back out cos its naft lol how much for the postage to me np10 9bh as i am not willing to pick it up due to petrol costs and a mess in the back of mine lol.

also the price is taking the old one out and fitting another one in so seems an ok price but i am going to get a clutch aswell while i am there so all done out of the way.

Good idea about the clutch, saves messing about if it does go. I`ve never sent anything this size before, but I`d guess it would be about £50. I`ll check it out and let you know.

Hi, Unfortunatly, i`m a fair distance from you. Im in Chesterfield, Derbyshire. The postcode is S42 7ER. i`ve got rough prices for shipping, and they are all coming in at around £50 as I thought.

Let me know what you want to do.

Hi Gareth,

Yes, it`s in full working order. I had a 1996 850 T5 I was trying to sell as a whole car, but couldn`t get a buyer. As a result, I broke the car instead to get more of my money back. I personally drove the car for about 500 miles without issue.

If it helps, and if you can wait 6 weeks, I`m going down to Trowbridge (Wiltshire) at the end of August. This should be a lot nearer, and i`d guess only about an hour from you.

Cheers,

Rob
