Don't suppose anyone knows the maximum length of items an XC60 can hold internally? Have to take some long pieces of wood and wanted to see if they would fit inside the car.

I'm pretty sure the main passenger seat folds flat so am thinking diagonally may be about 9-10 feet but not sure

Thanks in advance

Put a 3m length of unistrut in mine the other day went from passenger footwell to boot but was fine.......not sure if my passenger seat goes flat? Strut was fine diagonal for a short trip, but roof bars come in handy...

How long is a piece of string? Whilst a bundle of 6 ft bamboo might fit in, a 6 ft X 3 ft piece of trellis might not. The Tape measure is your friend

I may be wrong here, but I believe only certain front passenger seats will fold flat. If yours does, then there will be two levers at the bottom and rear of the seat facing the rear passenger footwell which need to be moved. The seat back then folds forwards with a bit of fiddling around and goes almost flat.

Correct, for the mk1 XC60 the SE seat folds flat but R design does not. You can still fold the R design seat back backwards though to accommodate long things.
