Default 2015 V60 P0301 Code

Hello All,

New member here, so I apologize if this is not in the correct location.

2015 V60 2.5L 5Cyl AWD

As of tonight (Jan 17) I threw a code, and diagnosed it as a P0301, cylinder 1 misfire. I am wondering what some tips you guys may have for troubleshooting. Things like engine cover removal, any extra tips for spark plug removal or testing leads/plug wires and such. I am used to doing much of this from a tech/maintenance manual but I do not have one as still a new car to me, if there is one out there for me to purchase/download please let me know.

Any tips will be appreciated!

Best
-Cannon

First try to switch the Coils, if the error is still in cylinder 1, it is the spark plug, if the error switches with the coil it is the coil. If the error is gone, it was a loose Connection. Good luck!
