Hi,

The VIN is: YV1BW714081005758

If you could use your system to send me an image and part numbers for all I need to change the struts on this particular car, I'd be grateful. Thank you.

Your car may need to be hooked up to Vida to have the factory suspension configuration read.

Thank you kindly for the images. What does "Marked" mean on the item description? I presume there's several types of strut for this car, so I presume that's what it means.

Looking at the images, there's five parts plus the strut itself & the second image has more parts, like the bellows & coil spring. Is that correct? Sorry, I've never read a Vida readout before, so I'm just trying to decipher it.

Thanks once again for your help.

Yes, hence my suggestion that hooking the car up may be required if the suspension configuration is stored in one of the modules.
Alternatively you can get under and physically look for part numbers on the shock absorbers.

Yes it's a Macpherson strut so is a combination of shock absorber and spring all in one.
Vida sometimes shows the components in one image like on my car or it will break down the schematics into multiple images.

The wheel arch liner is off the car whilst the aux belt tensioner is being replaced at the moment, so I'll have a look for part numbers!

Thanks once again for your help.

Hi,

Sorry to bump an older thread, but it'll save posting another & I'd be grateful if you or anyone else in the know could help me. I couldn't see any part numbers or stickers on the shocks unfortunately - They're just corroded (57 plate V70 p3). I'm planning on replacing the front shocks & there seems to be decent parts at reasonable prices online, so I wouldn't mind tacking the job soon. Is my only option to hook the car up to VIDA/Dice to get the actual suspension configuration to give me exact part numbers, as I couldn't find any indication of what the numbers were on the existing shocks? Getting the exact OE part numbers would help when searching for aftermarket stuff. There would be nothing worse than going to all the extent of stripping everything down to realise that the parts don't fit! I know the car hasn't got the active 4c chassis if that narrows it down at all.

Am I correct in thinking that if I use the second picture posted above as a reference that it shows all the parts that make up the assembly, whereas the first image is a basic layout?

Your help is appreciated, thanks.
