Default S80 Jerking

Hi everyone, just registered today.
I have a 1999 S80 T6 with 156000 Km and lately the engin would jerk on hyghway speed, around 100-120 km/h and some times at lower speed.
I took the car to a dealer and they changed the turbo switch and a software update. Same problem so I went back and they changed the spark plugs and cleaned the ETM module (the ETM was changed, I have the yellow sticker on it) and I still have the same problem, jerking at highway speed (after over 600$ in bills).
Anybody has some ideas
Thanks

Got a similar problem with my T6.

Have dumped a load of injector cleaner in a full tank of high octane fuel and it is having some effect. Jerking has reduced but not gone away completely. Normally worse in 4th between 80-100mph (private road of course)

Car has been into the garage and they suspect a dodgy MAF. Getting a new one in tomorrow to try. Will update if it works.

Took it to the dealer again last tuesday, and they changed the ETM although it had been changed around 23000Km, they put in the new one plus software update. When they tried it out on the road, in was even worst. It turned out that the old ETM did not record any codes. The new one recorded a faulty gas pedal sensor or positionner. So I will end up paying around $200.00 (again) for the non coding old ETM. Hope this will resolve the problem.

Thanks - i'll suggest that to the garage. They treid a new MAF and it did not make any difference.

Default My problem too!

I have this problem. My V70 2000 2.4T jerks when trying to hold it at 70mph and also sometimes at lower speeds. It will excelerate beautifully but not hold to speed but judders.

Has already been inot a Volvo dealership who first changed the ETM software after already having cleaned it last year. Then they said it was the thermostat (which I now disocer would have had nothing to do with the gears or exceleration but it was the only code showing and they only go on codes) and then they thought it was th spark plugs and then decided it needed a new gearbox at £4115!

I have taken it to an automoatic gearbox specialist who checked it out and said all was OK. I am now going to take it to an independant garage and get them to look at it as the dealership have lost interest. Figure will ask garage to consider the gas pedal sensor.

Cheers

Jan
