volvo key

i have gota volvo s40 2008 but only got one key with it can you get secondhand eys reprogramed?

No. Only new keys can be programmed. Used keys can't be reprogrammed... That is what my dealer says...

wot Daim said ^^^ it not a matter of "coding the Key" its a matter of Coding the CAR

There are only "so Many spaces" in the ECU/Immob for keys ect ...I only had 1 key but HAD to go to the Stealership to get a new one Programmed

The key itself was only £16 & the Fob £21 .. but "Deleteing" the "Lost Keys" & programming the new one came to £126 + the £16 & £21!!!!!!!

You've got NO CHOICE unfortunatly

The P1x key is a little different. You have key and fob together and that costs I think if correctly in my memory somewhat like £250 (that is exhanged from Euro to Quid).

from memory the combined key/remote is about £60 , might be wrong . software about £15 and 18 minutes of dealers time ..
