Morning,on my 1987 740 GLE B230E at some time in its life No1 fuse on the fuse board has burnt out and either an in line fuse has been put in or the wires have been piggy backed onto another fuse.So I can solve a problem I have could somebody tell me the colour of the wire that uses that fuse and does said wire supply the live feed to the in tank and main fuel pumps.

Yes, it's for the fuel pumps. Very common in that age 740 GLE, i'm in the middle of something at the moment, i'll check the wire colours later but have a look and see if someone has added an aftermarket fuseholder/fuse like someone did on one of mine.

I've tried finding my old 740 diagrams for this model year but haven't been able to, i'll keep looking though. I know the pump wires are pink at the pump end, not sure if they're different in the fusebox though.
