To get on to a technical topic and apologise for reviving a months old thread, can I ask if anyone has any thoughts on replacing their summer Michelin Piolt Super Sports when it comes to it? I thought I'd do a simple like for like when the time comes but I came across this article on Tyre Reviews...

...and it got me slightly concerned a like for like replacement won't be available unless Volvo persuade Michelin to keep making them as an OEM part.

Calling owners of the polestar engineered V60, where are you all??
There should be 120 odd in the uk but so far i am only aware of 12, so you must all be hiding .

Come and let me know if your an owner, we have a little group of us at the moment and would like to for more to join.

It seems to be a stealth car; the police don' t notice it.

Two ‘model years’ of the six-cylinder V60 Polestar were sold in the UK: model year 2015 and model year 2016.
The figures for the model year 2015 cars are:
100 cars sold
Black Sapphire – 29 cars
Ice White – 21
Rebel Blue – 36
Bright Silver – 14
The figures for the model year 2016 cars are:
41 cars sold
Onyx Black – 28
Ice White – 1
Rebel Blue – 7
Bright Silver – 5

Interesting stats. I bought my 65 reg car, pre-registered in January 2016, described as Onyx black. A lot of items on it like headlamps have supplier date stickers from December 2014, suggesting it was probably built in early 2015. I'm not bothered really, US Volvo forums refer to 2015, 2015.5 and 2016 models in any case! Mine has the frameless rear view mirror. When did they switch from Black Sapphire to Onyx black ?, Is there a paint code on the chassis plate ?

Not sure of the switch date, but paint codes are 452 Black sapphire and 717 Onyx Black

Thanks for that; the only problem now is I can't find the chassis late; if it's in the engine compartment, it'd need some dismantling ! Any idea where it is; a Google search did not come up with anything that helped.
