It also takes longer to connect than a 'normal' SIM too in my experience.....meaning longer for Spotify to start playing every time I get in the car.

If you want to use your own SIM, I use a Lebara SIM which also uses the Vodafone network and it works perfectly, without the overly complicated setup.

I'm theory, any SIM from Lebara, VOXI or any other MVNO on Vodafone should work well.

Ive had a T8 XC90 since June 2023, registerd April 22 as new, and ive never goy my SIM to work. Anyone i speak with has no idea about it.

Ive jsut found this thread and will try this.

Only thing with mine is, as second hand, will i get a trial period as a first time user, or as im the 2nd person to use this SIM card, will i need to buy data?

Received my new 24 month 3 data sim today and it is in the car and working fine.

If it's of any relevance, when I had my car serviced last month, I was told that Volvo aren't supporting the Vodaphone sims an longer, due to the issues people are having. I asked if I could have one to try anyway and I was given one. It took some fiddling with to get it connected (safari wouldn't operate the Vodaphone website properly, downloaded firefox and it worked first time) and it's working now and has been for three weeks. It just downloaded 1gb worth of maps over two relatively short journeys.
