Default Amber position light replacement

Hey,

I just had my V50 (from 04) washed, and have now realized the front left amber/position light (not the indicator) is out. The light itself also seems humid on the inside.

The question now is how I'd go about changing this light as I can't see any way to access it? And what I should be looking for when it comes to water/humid getting inside?

Thanks in advance!

Just changed mine this morning. S40 so should be the same.

Remove the pin and then the whole headlight unit.
Unplug the wiring then turn the holder anticlockwise 1/4 turn and remove it.
The bulb then just pulls out.

As above for changing.

You might want to go LED, then almost fit and forget. W5W LEDs are pennies on eBay (https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/10-X-T10-...72.m2749.l2649)

Same bulb also used in front position/parking lamps so you could change as well (LEDs are directional, so if it doesnt work just turn it around).

I get moisture in one of my headlights also. Mine is due to a cracked lens so check you light integrity, but also check all of the sealing panels and bulb holders. Most have a rubber seal, so check and a clean to make sure they are sealing correctly.

Hi Xariez

I presume you got your bulb issue sorted, just on the fogging, I get that sometimes too after washing or driving in the rain, I have no leaks in my light units but they are vented, so I believe it's unavoidable to get a little fogging when cold water settles on the outside of the lenses and the warmer air in the light has a bit of moisture in it from expansion and contraction "breathing" of the light. I've tried opening them and sitting them in blazing sun on a low humidity day to dry out any moisture and then putting all the bulbs back in but you still will get it. Not a damaging thing but still annoying. But if you've got a lot of it and it pools enough to run around when you tilt the assembly then there's probably a sealing issue somewhere.
