Default S80 electrics

Hi

Have a Y reg S80 2.4 140 w/66k miles on it.

When driving after about 20 minutes or so the lights on the dashboard from time to time suddenly become much brighter. It has happened at other times - but this winter it seem to notice it happening most days.

I can't tell whether the headlights suddenly get brighter as well - just a bit concerned that this indicate an impending major problem with the rest of the cars electrics... brakes, power steering...

Any ideas?

Thanks

Colin

The instrument lights changes with prevailing light conditions. I think there is about 3 levels. Sensor is by switches on centre panel.
All is normal!
