Default XC90 2013 lower engine mount replacement

Looking to replace my lower engine mounts on my 2013 XC90 for the first time. Upper engine mount is now replaced.

Any good videos or other guides anyone could recommend?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UA7qjGjg8Yc

Tried this video but in the comments it is not suitable for XC90s.

Thanks!

This is the first address to look at:

There are a few vids about the vacuum mounts. Like this:

Hi

I would firstly check if they are leaking... before "just" replacing them.

Its possible its the pipework that is leaking and not the mount.

If it is the mount, the front is very easy, the back, is easy enough from below, but access is very much limited.

There is also the small stabiliser down under too - and the bushes in that wear too. Its a doddle to change however - look at 30680750.

Thanks!!! It was sirobb that suggested I look to replace them. The top mount was knackered which I've replaced.

To recreate the issue, for example, if i drive downhill and switch from having my foot on the brake to the accelerator there is a noticeable thunk from the engine bay. Volvo had the car 6 weeks but said they couldn't diagnose it so decided I need to have a go myself.

That sounds more like the front gearbox torque mount.

Only 4 bolts hold it in place and they are about £30 new.

SirRob also has a vid about this mount and a DIY no cost fix.

First one on Ebayhttps://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VOLVO-LOW...wAAOSwLPhdZf7U

Thank you. I'm learning as I go so this is really appreciated. I'll try and find a YouTube and post it here.

You wont need any instructions. It's dead easy to swap - you don't even need to jack up the car!

.....after testing and inspection though. Don't do it on a guess.

My vacuum mount replacement video isn't really suitable for the rear mount on an XC90 as it doesn't show the awkwardness of working around the AWD system.
Your Vida workshop manual will have pictures and descriptions of the replacement procedure though.

You'll find it in Information >Repair >Removal and Replacement then work through the tree to Engine and Mountings >Engine Mounts

Thank you. Will get under the car and take a look. Given this issue has been present for a couple of years or so I guess the twisting (if that is the issue) would have stressed the other mounts?
