It resets automatically if the fault is cured.

The 3rd sensor was not the problem. Read the DTC. You may find it is a wiring loom issue. Also, did you fit a genuine Volvo sensor? You can use after-market sensors as long as you replace all four. You cannot mix them.

Greg,

Many thanks, Volvo dealership said it was 3rd sensor!! Got them to check when I was getting the On Call checked for fault. Swines!!

Yes to original, albeit second hand sensor, told that was working.

I will check DTC (dumb question) I assume I need VIDA reader for that?

Thx, again I'll report back on further findings.

How are the sensors numbered?

From looking at the outside of the rear bumper or the inside?

i.e. did you change #3 or #2?

Cheers

Dave

Take care there are two different sensors fitted depending on the age of your car ... no surprise they are not interchangeable.

hope it helps

I replaced sensor no 2 on my 2007 this afternoon using the method in this video which was on YouTube and covers facelift models.

This is the item that I bought and it worked perfectly as soon as fitted.

Make sure you order the correct one for your MY as there are 2 types. I reset all DTC's afterwards as a matter of course

3 rivets to drill out in the wheel arch and then follow the procedure.

Nothing got broken or scratched and I would say 30 minutes covered the whole job including removing the wheel to give better access to rivets.
