Default V40 2015 D4 5 year service cost

Hi, has anyone had a 5 year service on their D4 model, the online quote is showing me £900.
The car has only done 30,000 miles & I am sure when I had the 4 year one last year I was told this years one would be about £325, what has changed?

VEA cambelt is due at 90k miles, which is a relatively heavy cost addition. And you're looking at the 5 year/90k mile service

Yes, it will not let me do it just for mileage, it just does it for mileage & age on the same slider.

Apparently the cambelt is good for 10 years, so you could contact a dealer for a service price without the unnecessary belt change?

£900 for a service & a cambelt change?

Are there any local independent Volvo Specialists that you could try to get a price off for your service in the first instance & enquire about the cambelt cost for future reference (Just to give you an idea as to how much it'll be when its due).

I imagine they'd be much cheaper. Worth a try!

Don’t trust the online pricing tool it’s not accurate at all. I got a quote of £1150 for my 2006 v50! When i called for a quote, with cambelt change the full major service was £480.

Thanks guys, I will definitely not be getting the cambelt changed at such a low mileage, I will enquire about the service cost without, hopefully a lot more reasonable.

Don’t skip on the cam belt if it is recommended especially if the service book states “90,000 miles OR 5 years” when you come to sell it that could be something the potential owner tries to get discount on.

Ask for a quote with and without and then at least you’ve got the difference in pricing to mull over. Don’t let the online pricing tool scare you.
