Default 2015 V60 Water in the Drivers Footwell

After all this beautiful weather and the recent downpours, my screen is leaking. Strange thing is, I hasn’t been leaking while I’ve been washing my car but while we’ve had this monsoon rain. Well, I’m assuming it’s the screen, are there any other leak points?

Got a sunroof? If so could be one of the drainage pipes being blocked or simply unable to cope with the volume of water, particularly if the sunroof seal is failing.
Only other that springs to mind is potentially through the GPS fun, but those reports seem to be much rarer.

hello The Thong,

You might want to check the sunroof drain pipe. It's a regular thing with some volvos. Take the A pillar trim off (one screw under the plastic badge, then a careful pull...5mins job) and follow the rubber hose down to see where it exists, you might even get away with just looking under the bonnet for the exist point. Pour some water into the sunroof drain tray and see where it pours out. if it does not then obviously it's disconnected. If the water does not drain from the sunroof then the pipe is blocked...either way easy to reconnect or unblock. Hope this helps.

Cheers for your responses...

No sunroof

Tried pushing the screen, nothing obvious.

I took the rubber mat out and the carpet has dried. Ive put a plastic sheet under the mat and put it back. I’ve washed the car and it’s rained, nothing... not a drop of water inside the car. It’s gunna be one other those intermittent issues. I’ve booked it into Volvo in August for service so they’re gunna have a shufty to see if they can spot it.

On mine there was a leak from the feed pipe to the rear wash that leaked on the passenger side up behind the dash.

The carpet will have dried on the surface but there may well be a lot of water trapped in the sound deadening underneath.
