Question Using VIDA without VIN in profile?

Hi there, a friend of mine is wanting to use my Vida setup to diagnose his car. It's a s70 2015.

His car is listed within Vida also the engine code is listed ect.

But he sent his VIN number to put into the profile and it throws up the 'not found, try another region' message?

Tried the other region ect but still the same.

But with filling out the profile without VIN the diagnostics tab becomes available.

Would Vida read the cars modules without the vin readout?

If you have Vida Version 2014D I think it only works on Volvos up to early 2015 if your friends is past the cut off point example a later 2015 model then it won’t register with Vida, think Volvo changed to an online only system for vida then and would need to be taken to a main dealership or Volvo independent to be scanned, maybe wrong but think that would be the issue unless someone with more knowledge with Vida on the forum may think it’s another issue 👍

Another option is to use VDash. It's free to download and if you have a DICE already, Bob's yer uncle
