Cambelt, serpentine belt and track rod end.
Had a busy weekend, actually started Friday but the thunderstorms slowed me down a bit.
Hardest/most confusing bit was trying to find the peg hole in the serpentine belt tensioner which holds it back - well it did on my 850 - should have read the manual better, no such thing on my 2002 V70 so wasted time and temper on that! Apart from that, went okay. The nut on the track rod arm was rather tight but at least the joint just fell apart - which I'm told doesn't happen very often. Still has now started and running sweet so must have done it right.

So since buying the S80 1.6 2 weeks ago it has had
A full service, New battery, New starter motor, New Crank sensor New Coolant sensor Topped up the additive tank ( need to get counter reset). Due to last owner gutting the dpf and destroying the egr I have had them mapped out till I can afford to replace them and get it mapped back to standard or maybe a stage 1 to allow a little more get up and go. Currently now in the process in finding the low rev knocking and the no boost issue. If weather is dry and not too hot tomorrow I will be replacing the vacuum hoses.

How difficult is it to remove one of our (V70) headlights?
I ask because I have one crystal clear light (R) and one peeling, water filled light (L). |

not very.. bumper off, and then 4 (5?) very easily accessible bolts
getting the bumper back on is a bit of a fiddle if you're on your own just getting it hooked in on both sides at the same time Last edited by stuart bowes; Jul 12th, 2023 at 20:01. |
