2014 V40 Navigating iPod menus

I bought a 2014 V40 a few months ago. I previously had a 2012 S60, and a 2010 S60 before that. On each of the cars, I have been able to connect my iPod, and control my playlists, albums etc on the screen.

However, the system on the V40 is just not quite as good as the one on the S60s I had. When I have for example selected a playlist and am listening to the songs, I scroll up or down and it takes me back to the playlist as usual. But the V40 system defaults to placing me right at the top of the playlist, rather than the actual song that is currently playing - very annoying when you have long playlists! The S60 took you back to the currently playing song, and also helpfully had a little symbol showing which song in the playlist was currently playing.

The other issue I have is that if I am listening to an album perhaps, when I next go into the car and scroll up or down to show all the songs on the album, it defaults me right at the top of the iPod menu tree rather than the current playing album. Again, on the S60, it would always remember which album I was currently playing, and take me straight back there.

Also, in the list of Artists, any band beginning with 'The' is alphebetised under T. On the S60 system, The Beatles for example was under B, which is the way iTunes does it and makes things much easier to find.

These are obviously extremely minor niggles, but I wondered whether it was normal in the V40? The system looks and behaves the same way as the S60, apart from this little point, and I wonder whether I might have a bug which might be cured by a software update at the next service. Equally I don't want to complain to the dealer about something which is in fact perfectly normal for the V40.
