Number 27 - 850R review
Good to see a review of the 850R any time and was hoping for Number 27 or Harry's Garage to do one. Personally, I don't think the review does the 850R justice, perhaps it was just this particular car. A review of a stock 850R would have been better.
Still, a nicely kept example though. Sounds like the owner had done a few mods. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NTpmP4Q-PZs |

Yeah enjoyed the video but interested as to what other 850 owners think of his comments re the throttle - is it just that car?

It needs a new throttle cable by the sounds of it, they certainly aren't 'all like that'.
When I bought my current 850, the throttle cable was one of the first things to be sorted, as it was very stiff, and really detracted from the driving experience... |

Those throttle cables have been NLA for awhile now. Time someone started making proper replacements.

Watched it today and I quite like this chap, been watching the vids on his XK as well.
However some of what he says is not entirely accurate, including his low down on the BTCC cars. I still find it nuts that a very similar engine of the same output is in my C70...

Yeah the car had a tune and coil overs. Hence the comments on the ride/travel
The owner responded in the comments. Looked like a cool car. |

Can still have a fantastic ride if on coil-overs, i have been running decent coil-overs for a number of years on our 850 and its not crashy in the slightness. Depends if its being ran some cheap Chinese rubbish!
