Default Xenon Bulb replacement.

2004 V70 AWD R N/Side bulb burst ( least ways don't work) When O/S burst 2 yrs ago I removed bumper+ light unit and replaced bulb with light unit on work bench. The N/Side seems to have alot more space behind the light unit and I was wondering if anyone has tried to change the N/Side bulb in situ?, was it possible?, did they regret trying?
Asked dealer about them changing bulb but they are allowed an hour labour so looks like they remove the bumper etc. ( thought I'd read somewhere they do it in situ and for 10-15mins labour I was just going to let them do it, but not at 1 hour labour... £££££)
I'm not too bothered about removing the bumper + light but I'm at an age where I don't go looking for work either. I have changed several H7 Tungsten bulbs on my T5 in situ without major issue. Just wondering about the consensus of opinion here re the Xenons?
Suspect this light is original (I've had the car since 2008 ) so done 14+ years.
Getting a replacement from Volvo £50 incl VAT so happy chap.

Cheers
Bob.

Just to add the windscreen washer bottle filling tube is held in by 1 screw so undo it then the tube just pulls out gives alot more room to get hands in the back of the headlight.

Hi,

Searching for advice on this through the forums, so I hope you can help.
I have a 2005 XC70 with Xenon bulbs, and the N/S one is blown.
Were you able to replace that without removing the bumper?
Cheers,
Chris
