Old radios
As mentioned, I would leave the original radio in place but its completely useless even if it was working. In our end they did go for the really bad DAB solution and have actually shut off the FM broadcast. So even if it was singing and dancing this radio - it would have noting to sing with because its shut down.
I'm still not decided if I want a working retro player with a cassette load so I can make tapes and use and possibly a CD changer hidden some where. I feel these players are much more appealing than some of the ugly new ones which seems to have everything - DAB included. The last option is to hide a new player under the seat or somewhere and pull a cable to my iPod classic which could lye in between the seats. I would not use bluetooth since I find it unreliable and bad sounding - at least on my 2017 BMW solution. I kind of liked the centre console which I linked to earlier. This was as I understand it an option in the days, it makes this section look not so naked. I would not mount the original shelf on the dash - at least that is the idea now. Speakers has been located and would be SEAS Lotus Reference - all planned hidden for original looks. Guess I'm the only one which actually would put a proper sound system in the car since no one else seems to have done so ? |

Hi all, am looking for music for my 1800E. I think the interior style could support a modern, relatively plain unit, but of course a correct period one would be great. Problem is, we only have 12cm depth available.
Appreciate any ideas! |

Here’s one option.

personally I prefer the sound and conversation of a well tuned engine to some of the crap that claims to be music
